AFCAT Age Limit:
(a) Flying Branch : 20 to 24 years as on 01 July 2021 i.e. born between 02 July 1997 to 01 July 2001 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 year i.e. born between 02 July 1995 to 01 July 2001 (both dates inclusive).
(b) Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches : 20 to 26 years as on 01 July 2021 i.e. born between 02 July 1995 to 01 July 2001 (both dates Inclusive)
Educational Qualifications/Air Force requirements:
(i) Flying Branch: Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and
(a) Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
OR
(b) BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
OR
(c) Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent

Candidates in the application form are required to fill the following details:
Personal Information: Name, father’s & mother’s name ( will be auto-filled from the sign-up data), email address, secondary email address, nationality, mobile number, visible identification mark, CPSS/PABT status, CPSS/PABT batch number, CPSS/PABT date of passing, CPSS/PABT chest no, CPSS/PABT attended at which Air Force Selection Board, Select Rank in IAF, service number, currently posted unit, select command, gender, marital status and date of birth.
Paying AFCAT Examination Fees 2020
After filling the AFCAT application form 2020, candidates need to pay Rs 250 as examination fees.
The fees can be paid online through credit/ debit cards/ net banking.
Candidates need to click ‘Make Payment’ to pay the fees.
On confirmation from the bank, the payment status will display the registration number.
Candidates will also receive the confirmation regarding fee payment on their registered email ID and mobile number.

English: This section of the AFCAT paper consists of at least 20 questions and level is from moderate to difficult. Questions would be asked from comprehension, cloze test, synonym and antonym, idioms and phrases, Error spotting.
GK: Develop a habit of reading magazines and daily newspapers to score well in the General Knowledge section.When reading magazines and newspapers, focus more on the latest books, winners in sports, cities located at the banks of famous rivers etc. At least revisie the last 6 months GK updates.
Numerical Ability: Clear basic concepts of Age, partnership, Trains,simple interest and compound interest, Time & Work to easily score marks in less time.
Reasoning: Try to have a clear understanding of topics like Cube, Paper folding,2-D and 3-D rotation images and mirror images.
Solve mock tests and previous year papers:
Going through previous year papers and solving mock tests will boost your AFCAT preparation. This will not just help you get a better understanding of the types of questions asked but will also help you develop techniques to solve them quickly. Further, online mock tests will prepare you for the computer-based test.
Military Aptitude :
This is one of the most challenging sections of the AFCAT exam. You need to work on attention and regularly practice to prepare for this section. When preparing for Military aptitude, focus more on verbal skills and spatial ability.
