The applicants are also cautioned that they may be permanently debarred from the examinations conducted/to be conducted by Lok Sabha Secretariat and/or their appointment may be cancelled, in case they fraudulently claim eligibility for a post or they fraudulently claim SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH/ex-Serviceman status.

II. Applications which are illegible, not conforming to the instructions contained in this advertisement or received after the last date will be summarily rejected.

III. Candidates in Government service should submit their application through proper channel by e-mail only.No such application will be accepted 7 days after the last date specified.

IV. The photograph of the applicant on the application form and attendance sheet should be identical.

V. Canvassing in any manner would lead to summary rejection of application and candidature at any stage.

Criteria of Income & Assets for Economically Weaker Sections: 


Persons not covered under the scheme of reservation for SCs, STs and OBCs and whose family has gross annual income below Rs. 8.00 lakh (Rupees eight lakh only) are to be identified as EWSs for benefit of reservation. 


Income shall also include income from all sources i.e. salary, agriculture, business, profession, etc. for the financial year prior to the year of application. Also persons whose family owns or possesses any of the following assets shall be excluded from being identified as EWS, irrespective of the family income:- 

i. 5 acres of agricultural land and above; 

ii. Residential flat of 1000 sq ft. and above; 

iii. Residential plot of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities;

iv. Residential plot of 200 sq. yards and above in areas other than the notified municipalities. The property held by a "Family" in different locations or different places/cities would be clubbed while applying the land or property holding test to determine EWS status. The term "Family" for this purpose will include the person, her/his parents, siblings below the age of 18 years , spouse and children below the age of 18 years. 


NUMBER OF VACANCIES: The number of vacancies specified in respect of the post is subject to change. 


CUT OFF OF MARKS: 

The minimum cut off marks in Written Test  examination is 50%, 45% and 40% for vacancies in UR/EWS, OBC and SC/ST categories, respectively. The above percentages are relaxable by 5% in case of physically challenged persons of relevant disability and category for appointment against the vacancies reserved for physically challenged persons. (In the present recruitment process, the physically challenged persons with Locomotor Disability and Visual Impairment will not be entitled to avail this relaxation in marks.) 


These percentages are the minimum marks which a candidate is required to secure in each paper/ component and aggregate in the written test. However, the cut-off percentages may be raised in individual component/paper/aggregate to arrive at reasonable vacancy : candidate ratio.

Brief Description:  Union Public Service Commission, UPSC has released the notification for the UPSC NDA/NA (2) 2020 Examination. The examination will be conducted for 413 vacancies i.e. 370 for National Defence Academy and 43 for the Naval Academy. Interested candidates can view the notification and apply online.

Age Limit: For NDA 2 exam, candidates must have born not earlier than January 2, 2002, and not later than January 1, 2005.  Candidates who have born not earlier than July 2, 2001, and not later than July 1, 2004, are eligible to apply for NDA 1 exam. The date of birth is calculated as mentioned on the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or in a certificate recognised by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation.

Educational qualification: The educational qualification is different for different academies. Candidates can check the educational qualification prescribed for different academies below:

Army Wing of National Defence Academy: Candidates must have passed Class 12/HSC under 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent from a recognised board or university. 

Air Force, Navy and Naval Academy of National Defence Academy: Candidates must have passed Class 12/HSC under 10+2 pattern of school education with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

NDA 2020 exam: Important highlights:

Due to COVID 19 pandemic and the consequent lockdowns, the UPSC NDA/NA I exam 2020 which was scheduled for 10th June will now be conducted along with the NDA/NA II Examination on 6th September. Students who had applied for NDA I can also apply for NDA II Examinations. There will be, only a common written examination.The results for both the NDA I and NDA II will be declared seperately.

It means that the marks obtained by candidates will be based on one written examination. However, his/her rank, on the same marks will be (should he fill the applications for NDA I and NDA II both) for both the exams and released seperately.

1. The candidate is required to visit on UPSC Website.
2. Common candidates of NDA& NA Exam 1 & 2 2020 are required to indicate their unique RID of NDA&NA Exam 1 2020 in the application form for NDA&NA Examination 2 2020. The unique RID for NDA&NA Examination (I) 2020 was provided to each of them after submission of application. 
3. Candidates will be required to complete the Online Application form containing two stages i.e. Part I and Part II.
4. Enter Personal Details as per government ID.
5. Candidates are required to upload Photo ID and Signature in the .JPG format, file should not exceed 30 KB each and must not be less than 20 KB.
6. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the submitted online application for future reference. 

About UPSC NDA/NA Exam 2020:

The exam is held for admission to the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy and the Indian Naval Academy- NA Course. Check out all the details of the exam below. Scheme and Syllabus of competitive examination for the post of Lecturer (School)

 1. The competitive examination shall carry 450 marks. 
 2. There will be two Papers. Paper-I shall be of 150 marks and Paper-II shall be of 300 marks. Duration of Paper-I shall be one and a half hours and the duration of Paper-II shall be three hours. 
3. All the questions in both the Papers shall be multiple choice type questions. 
4. Negative marking shall be applicable in the evaluation of answers. For every wrong answer, one-third of marks prescribed for that particular question can be deducted. Explanation: Wrong answer shall mean an incorrect answer or multiple answers.
 5. Subjects included in both the Papers and the marks given to them are shown in the tables below
6. Paper -I will be of General Awareness and General Studies and Paper II will be of Subject concerned
